Gas Chromatography System Coupled to Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) Shimadzu GCMS-QP2010S

Gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry is used for separation of mixtures, identification and structural determination of organic compounds. The GCMS-QP2010S equipment installed in the LSPN of the DQ-UFSCar was acquired through the FAPESP grant 2008/57910-0. The equipment features are: quadrupole ion analyzer with stainless steel pre-quadrupole and electron impact ionization source (EI), with variable energy between 10 and 200 eV.
