CERSusChem realiza segundo workshop do projeto temático em 2025
O Centro de Excelência para Pesquisa em Química Sustentável (CERSusChem) celebra, neste ano de 2025, seus 10 anos de atuação desde o lançamento oficial, em outubro de 2015. Ao longo dessa década, o Centro tem se consolidado com base em seu tripé fundamental: Pesquisa, Inovação e Difusão de Ciência, com foco no desenvolvimento e uso efetivo da química sustentável e tecnologias relacionadas.
Como parte de suas atividades anuais, o CERSusChem realizou, no dia 28 de novembro de 2025, o segundo workshop do projeto temático, que se estendeu das 8h30 às 18h. No total, 16 trabalhos foram apresentados oralmente, abrangendo todos os tópicos do projeto temático “Métodos sintéticos sustentáveis empregando catálise, solventes verdes, reagentes seguros e materiais de partida renováveis”, fomentado pela FAPESP. O evento reuniu toda a equipe participante do projeto, oferecendo uma oportunidade para atualizar estudos em andamento e abrir espaço para novas colaborações.
“O workshop é extremamente importante porque a gente consegue reunir todos os pesquisadores, estudantes e pós-doutores que fazem parte do temático. Aqui a gente apresenta os trabalhos, mas mais importante que isso, a gente consegue conversar sobre projetos em colaboração, que contemplam especificamente os objetivos do temático”, comenta a Profa. Dra. Arlene Gonçalves Corrêa, docente titular do Departamento de Química (DQ) da UFSCar e pesquisadora responsável do projeto. Para a Profa. Dra. Lúcia Helena Mascaro, também docente titular do DQ e pesquisadora principal do projeto, os encontros promovem aproximação entre os membros dos grupos: “Sair dos nossos laboratórios é sempre um momento muito bom. Esse encontro no workshop é onde a gente tem tempo de conversar, parar e refletir, ouvir o que cada um faz. Então, são oportunidades para a gente se conhecer melhor porque, apesar da gente conviver juntos no mesmo espaço, dificilmente a gente tem tempo para conversar no dia a dia”.
Assim, o evento reforça a rede de colaboração estabelecida pelo CERSusChem, estimulando parcerias e a criação de projetos conjuntos entre os membros do Centro. A expectativa é que esse ambiente de troca de conhecimento continue contribuindo para o fortalecimento da pesquisa e da inovação científica ao longo dos próximos anos. The Centre of Excellence for Research in Sustainable Chemistry (CERSusChem) celebrates, in 2025, its 10th anniversary since its official launch in October 2015. Over the past decade, the Center has consolidated its work based on its three fundamental pillars: Research, Innovation and Science Dissemination, with a focus on the development and effective application of sustainable chemistry and related technologies.
As part of its annual activities, CERSusChem held the second workshop of the thematic project on November 28, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A total of 16 oral presentations were conducted, covering all topics of the thematic project “Sustainable synthetic methods employing catalysis, benign solvents, safer reagents, and bio-renewable feedstock”, supported by FAPESP. All researchers, students and postdocs participating in the project attended the event, providing an opportunity to update ongoing studies and open space for new collaborations.
“The workshop is extremely important because it allows us to bring together all the researchers, students and postdocs who are part of the thematic project. Here, we present our work, but more importantly, we are able to discuss collaborative projects that specifically address the objectives of the project,” comments Professor Arlene Gonçalves Corrêa, full professor in the Department of Chemistry (DQ) at UFSCar and responsible investigator of the project. For Professor Lúcia Helena Mascaro, also a full professor in the DQ and principal researcher of the project, the workshops promote closer interaction among team members: “Leaving the lab environment is always a very positive experience. These workshop meetings give us time to talk, pause, reflect and listen to what each person is doing. They are opportunities to get to know each other better, because even though we share the same space, we rarely have the time to talk during our day-to-day work”.
Therefore, the event reinforces the collaborative network established by CERSusChem, encouraging partnerships and the creation of joint projects among its members. This environment of knowledge exchange is expected to continue contributing to the strengthening of research and scientific innovation in the coming years.
