CERSusChem offers course at UFSCar on the applications of sustainable chemistry in academia and industry
The deputy director of UFSCar, Dra. Helen Sneddon, will deliver a short course in October at the Federal University of São Carlos on the applications of sustainable chemistry in academia and industry. Dra. Sneddon is honorary professor of sustainable chemistry at the University of Nottingham, UK, and head of GlaxoSmithKline’s Green Chemistry Performance Unit. Additionally, she has published several papers in the field and is an editorial board member of the Royal Society of Chemistry’s journal Green Chemistry.
The course will take place on October 5th and it will be divided in four sections, in which themes of great importance in green chemistry will be discussed, with case studies included. The course is free of charge, and its target audience includes undergraduate and graduate students, and professionals from the chemical and pharmaceutical area. To register, it is necessary to send an e-mail to cersuschem@ufscar.br with the full name, institution and profile (student or professional) until September 22nd 2017.
