Paper recycling activity carried out with elementary school students in the full time public school André Donatoni (Ibaté-SP) on 05/16
On May 16 the students of the public school André Donatoni in the city of Ibaté were visited by the CERSusChem who taught in a practical activity the importance of the economy and recycling of paper for the environment.
To teach about the importance of recycling, trash cans for selective gathering are distributed through the school by CERSusChem in previous weeks to collect paper. The amount amazed the students who noticed that most of the paper had little use and could be best used before going to waste.
Following the lecture given by the postdoctoral student Marcos Antônio Santana Andrade Junior and by prof. Dra. Lúcia Helena Mascaro Sales, both from UFSCar, the students received theoretical knowledge and later participated in a practical activity, in which the selective gathering cans were brought to the laboratory of the school and the paper went through the process of recycling carried out by the students themselves. The paper received a touch of creativity from the students, being adorned with flowers and pieces of wood.
