The 2018 Green Chemistry Challenge Award winner offered a short course at UFSCar
Professor Tyler McQuade from Virginia Commonwealth University – USA offered the short course “Continuous Chemical Methods: An Essential Set of Tools for Modern Synthesis" at the PPGQ-UFSCar on October 15-17, 2018 and also a plenary lecture at the 17th BMOS held in Salvador on October 21-24. Professor McQuade received the 2018 ACS Green Chemistry Challenge Award with his colleague Professor Frank Gupton. The award was due to their outstanding success in developing a sustainable and efficient synthesis of nevirapine through a process intensification that reduced cost and improved access to HIV/AIDS treatment.
